Satsuma Communities

Satsuma is situated along Highway 43, just north of Saraland, and is a desirable area for new construction. Located along Interstate 65, Satsuma is a quick commute for industrial workers who travel north to Calvert, McIntosh, Mt. Vernon and Grove Hill daily for work. Several creeks and waterways feed into Satsuma, making the area a popular spot for locals looking to spend a day on the water. Steele Creek Lodge provides rental space for events and is located in close proximity to Gunnison Creek.

As with its football rival Saraland, Satsuma created its own school district. The separate school systems has been pivotal in attracting residents to the area.
